E&CR of NSW Great Dane re-Homing Success Stories

Albert :: ALBERT ::

Albert and his mother were found wandering the streets of Moss Vale by shelter authorities.  It was estimated Albert was only 10 to 12 weeks old at the time (both Danes were in a terrible condition). Albert's obvious long-term malnutrition was evident by his legs which were in an S-bend shape.

Sasha :: SASHA ::

Sasha's story is not uncommon - her owner rang one day with a sad story.  Recently having had a stroke, she was struggling to look after her three children, the house and two dogs (one of which was Sasha).  She told me she could 'no longer afford to feed her' and that Sasha was very underweight.

Monsta :: MONSTA ::

Monsta, although a bit skinny is beautiful and extremely loving and friendly. Monsta gets along with Sasha (our other Dane) really well. He is very cute and already looks so happy with some good feeding and lots of love. E-mail excerpt from Monsta's new owner, Naomi.

Emily :: EMILY ::

Emily arrived at her forever home is an awful state. Her coat was dull and stark and she was very skinny, if not emaciated. She had hollows above her eyes and was extremely weak in her hind quarters.

Herc :: HERC ::

Unfortunately, Herc's owners separated and neither of them could offer Herc all that he would require. One owner due to work commitments and the other for both time and financial reasons. It was very emotional at Herc's re homing.

'A DANE IS FOR LIFE'

:: JAY-DEE ::
Posted : Tuesday 22nd July 2008

Jay-Dee is a black with white chest, twelve month old, de sexed, female Great Dane. She is up to date with her heart worm and vaccinations and is also micro chipped. Jay-Dee cannot be placed with other dogs, both large and small as she has some aggression problems that her current owner's do not have time to address. If other dogs are in your family, an experienced home is strongly suggested. Jay-Dee is good with children and cats. Jay-Dee is currently located in Spring Grove near Lismore.
